👶 Born in Syracuse, NY, where I quickly developed a flair for the dramatic (much to my family’s exhaustion).
🎤 1981 – Crashed my brothers' school talent show and stole the spotlight.
🎭 Spent my childhood in every community theater production possible, then took the leap to NYC to officially start my professional stage career.
🎟️ 1998 – Joined Actors' Equity Association, went on my first National Tour, and perfected the art of packing light.
🌴 1999 – First came to Sarasota to perform and discovered it was possible to love both theater and sunshine.
🗺️ 2000s – Split my time between NYC, Sarasota, and beyond, performing at regional theaters, national tours, and even in Italy with West Side Story (cue dramatic finger snaps).
🎬 Took a break from performing (gasp!) to study video production—because if I wasn’t on camera, I figured I should at least be behind it.
🎭 Moved back to Sarasota, returned to the stage, then made a huge career shift in 2009—stepping away from theater (gasp again!) to launch a digital marketing company with HuB Sarasota.
🏋️♂️ Meanwhile: Joined an improv troupe, got certified as a group fitness instructor, and performed in cabarets and fundraisers for local nonprofits (because why do just one thing?).
📺 2013 – Made my TV debut on ABC7 as a Social Contributor, covering Sarasota’s social scene.
💻 Created ABC7’s first Social Trends Correspondent role (aka getting paid to scroll the internet).
🎤 2014 – Appeared on first episode of Suncoast View with my own weekly segment, What’s Up, Joey?
🎭 2015-16 – Became a guest co-host, then Executive Producer, then full-time co-host (and somewhere in there, I also got married).
💡 2021 – Switched gears to focus on marketing full-time.
🎥 2022 – Surprise! Returned to Suncoast View as co-host/producer, while still working in marketing with Realm Restaurant Group and other clients.
🐾 2023-24 – Adopted Stevie (fluffy Cavachon) and Eydie (tiny-but-mighty Chihuahua mix).
🎭 2024 – Returned to the professional stage—because, let’s be honest, the stage was never going to let me go.
Still talking on TV, still performing, still working in marketing, still figuring it all out (but at least now I have cute dogs to help).
